I like this direction because it keeps a good amount of open lawn for dogs while moving most of the color and texture to the perimeter beds. The mix of mulch, hardy tropicals, agaves, and bougainvillea gives it a lush look without needing constant watering, and it still feels pretty budget friendly since the layout relies more on mass planting than expensive hardscape. here’s something I designed https://app.neighborbrite.com/s/L4mO9j-72wa
