What's a drought-tolerant alternative to this?

For Monrovia/Zone 10a, I’d keep the same layout but swap any “thirsty” areas for a true SoCal drought-friendly mix. Best alternatives: DG / gravel (looks clean + super low water) native/med plants like lavender, salvia, yarrow, rosemary, santolina succulents + agave for structure and if you still want green: small patch of DG + stepping stones or drought-tolerant groundcover instead of lawn You’ll get the same modern look with way less watering + maintenance. I mocked up a quick low-water version to show what I mean https://app.neighborbrite.com/s/SKta1i_GjGk
