You already have a great base with the steps and raised edge, so I’d just extend that planting bed along the right side of the walkway to create a more welcoming entrance. Layer it with a small focal shrub or Japanese maple near the top, medium plants like hostas or hydrangeas in the middle, and low flowering perennials along the edge for color and softness.
